ABC The Bachelor 2012 Bachelorettes, This season, everybody is talking about Scottsdale native Courtney Robertson on ABC’s The Bachelor 2012. She is clearly this season’s villain, and many viewers wonder just how much the editors are tweaking her words and actions to peg her as the “mean girl.” Courtney can’t defend herself while she’s still airing on the show, but her parents are talking and say people are getting her all wrong. Courtney’s mom talked to Life & Style Monday, while her dad is said to have talked to Star magazine a few days ago. Which version of Courtney will viewers believe?

Monday, viewers watched as Courtney Robertson enticed Ben Flajnik to go skinny dipping. This is perhaps the raciest incident to ever happen so early on the show, and some thought it was going too far. According to Courtney’s mom, however, it was no big deal. She does wonder, “How do you think her 84-year-old grandmother is going to feel watching that with her church group?” Many viewers think chances are good Courtney’s grandma has already had a lot of feelings to sort through while watching Courtney this season. As for Robertson’s attitude, her mom says that’s just Courtney. “She is very confident. And I am that way,” her mom says. “She gets that from me.” Whatever one might say about Courtney, a lack of self-esteem is probably not something in the mix.

Various media outlets have shared that Courtney apparently ditched a long-term boyfriend, Cavan Clarke, to go on the show. Other reports have popped up that she is known as a cheater, even as far back as her brief time dating Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe back in 2005. Courtney’s father, Rick Robertson, comes to her defense on this one. Hollywood Life shares that Rick defends his little girl and thinks the reports are calling it wrong. “Anyone who knows and loves Courtney, or anyone who is a friend of hers, knows this story is completely wrong. It’s just not true at all.” He adds, “As a parent, it’s painful and hurtful to hear a story like this. She’s not that sort of person. She’s a great girl.”
