Abc The Bachelorette 2012 Emily, In a new twist for “The Bachelorette,” leading lady Emily Maynard isn’t just looking for a husband among her 25 eligible bachelors.

For the first time in the show’s eight-season history, the Bachelorette is also a single mother. Emily’s not shy about the fact that she’s searching for a father-figure for her 6-year-old daughter Ricki.

And what else does she want?

“A minivan full of babies,” she says, giggling during Monday night’s season premiere of the show. “I want it so bad. I want to be in love. I want babies. I’m tired of being engaged. I want to get married.”

Host Chris Harrison, nervously laughing, warns her not to open with that speech to her suitors.

Last year, Maynard, 26, became two-time Bachelor Brad Womack’s final pick and a loveable fan favorite after she shared the story of her tragic past. Years before going on the show, Emily’s fiancé died in a plane crash. Days later, she found out she was pregnant with their child.

“To be honest, I really don’t want to talk about that anymore,” she said during Monday’s broadcast. I’ve really moved on from that.”

Perhaps Maynard should have seen the warning signs of the commitment phobic Womack, who actually regularly summoned his shrink to the mansion for impromptu therapy sessions. In a shocking twist, (sarcasm off) Maynard and Womack broke off their engagement after just a few months. (NJ)
