While wth some of the shows you’ll have no problem understanding why they’ve met their demise, one of the old favorites on this list have some fans scratching their heads. The battle is just never ending for ratings between top networks ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX, as they vie for a bigger share of the television viewing public each week. Aproximately 20 shows have been canceled on the most popular networks, according to TVpredictions.com. *ABC cancelled the “GCB” series; this controversial show is one of a few canceled series that fans have set up a Facebook page to petition for the show to continue. The page for “GCB” has already garnered over 17,000 signatures. ABC also canceled “Missing”, “The River” and Pan Am”. *ABC’s Cougar Town won’t be carried by ABC, but it will move over to TBS. *NBC canceled “Awake”, “Are You There, Chelsea,” “Bent”, “Best Friends, Forever” and “Harry’s Law,” which aren’t shows that get a lot of buzz on the social networks or around the water coolers at work. *NBC has signed on seven new comedies to air this fall, so get ready for a lot of laughing. The new shows are: “Go On,” “The New Normal,” “Animal Practice” and “Guys with Kids.” Other series to start mid-season are, “Save Me,” “1600 Penn” and “Next Caller.” (Examiner) |
