Dannielynn Birkhead And Kentucky Derby, Larry and Dannielynn Birkhead attended the Kentucky Derby Saturday. His daughter was the spitting image of her mom, Anna Nicole Smith. With her flower hat and adorable matching fascinator, she was the pint-size image of her late mother.

While horse racing fans and celebrities stepped out at the big race at Churchill Downs with their fancy hats, all eyes were on Smith’s six-year-old daughter. Not only did she sport a stylish ensemble, she carried around a puppet horse (seen in this photo).

Larry Birkhead met Smith at the Kentucky Derby in 2004. They developed a romantic relationship shortly thereafter. However, after her death three years later, he found himself in an ugly custody battle with Howard Stern, who claimed he fathered Anna Nicole’s daughter.

However, a paternity test later proved Birkhead was the father. Since then, he has kept Dannielynn Birkhead out of the spotlight. Even Howard Stern later admitted that he is doing a great job raising the child.

Anna Nicole Smith died at a Hollywood, Florida hotel and casino, a property owned by the Seminole Tribe in Tampa.

Her death in 2007 from a drug overdose left behind one surviving child. Her son died of an overdose months before. However, that child would carry on her legacy of style and grandeur. And judging from how Dannielynn Birkhead looked at the Kentucky Derby, the legacy is well on its way in being fulfilled. (Examiner)
