Humphrey to present BT football coverage, Jake Humphrey has been named as the presenter of BT’s Premier League football coverage. Humphrey, best known for his work as the F1 presenter for the BBC, will join up with the new service when they air their first games in the 2013/14 campaign. The 33-year-old was also one of the presenters for the BBC’s Olympic coverage last month, and has worked on a variety of sports shows over a decade with the channel. “I’m incredibly excited to be joining the team at BT,” Humphrey said, “not just because I get to fulfil a lifelong dream of presenting the Barclays Premier League but because of the fresh perspective that BT will bring to both sport and broadcasting in this country.” BT will be broadcasting 38 games a season for three years starting next August after winning a bid for the rights in June. |
